May 2013 -- "Many people throughout Tennessee and across the country have been hit hard by the recession and all indications are that we still have a ways to go to recover. Consumer debt now tops $2.45 trillion," said Dallas S. Bunton, Sr; CEO and Chairman of North American Credit Services (NACS) and Medical Services of Chattanooga. That's why, employees helped raise over $2,000 in April for the ACA International Education Foundation, in support of consumer financial literacy efforts locally and around the globe. "Our employees know better than anyone the challenge consumers face in managing their personal finances," said Bunton. "Helping the people we contact learn the skills they need to use credit wisely and regain control of their finances, gives us pride in the important work we do."
The month-long, charitable activities at Medical Services Chattanooga-based, headquarters included: 'Blue Jean Casual Days', a competitive 'Chili Cook-Off' and 'Pie Bake-Off', culminating for a campus-wide picnic; as participated by the 200 plus employees.
"Money raised will allow the Foundation to expand its important work in financial education, such as providing free electronic Community Education Kits regarding consumer rights and money management basics;" Chris Wunder, ACA International Education Foundation Chair.
