Medical Services of Chattanooga -- Supports National AHA 'Go Red for Women' Heart Challenge
In an effort to encourage employees and Americans as a whole, to live healthier lives and have healthier hearts, NACS and Medical Services of Chattanooga, 200 plus employees celebratedNational 'Go Red' on February 7th. The American Heart Association's (AHA) 'Go Red for Women' celebrates the energy, passion and power of women who band together to wipe out heart disease and stroke.
"Employee wellness partnerships such as the AHA's Go Red initiative, creates an opportunity in workplaces such as ours, to engage employees in increased health prevention and awareness, while at work and after-hours in improving one's personal health," states Beverly J. Bunton, Senior Vice-President and Corporate Officer with NACS and Medical Services of Chattanooga.
According to a recent national study released from the AHA, Heart disease remains the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year.
