Medical Services will host its seventh annual health resource fair as part of its "WALKtober Workplace Wellness" program October 7.
In a continuing effort to encourage employees, and Americans as a whole, to live healthier and reduce unnecessary medical costs due to physical inactivity, Medical Services and North American Credit Services will celebrate the seventh annual 'WALK-tober' on Oct. 7, at the headquarters in Chattanooga, Tenn.
"Our employees are family. They are a vital part of our team and our success," said CEO and chairman Dallas S. Bunton Sr. "A healthful team member is better for the overall success of life and any goals we may have as an organization."
Employees will be provided an opportunity to participate in an interactive health resource fair with exercise demonstrations, a blood donation drive, chair massages and personal health assessments.
The event coincides with the company's annual 'Go Pink' celebration in support of increased awareness of breast cancer and regular wellness checks.
"NACS has created a culture of wellness that encourages and enables employees to be healthier, more productive, and more satisfied with their jobs. It's good for business, and it's good for Tennessee," said Rick Johnson, president of the Governor's Foundation for Health and Wellness.
