Medical Services provides Motor Vehicle (MVA), Third Party Suit, normal insurance issues and Self-Pay account audits. Included in this process is a careful review of each patient account and the appropriate follow-up.
Insurance: Our Insurance Representatives are experienced in working with many insurance companies including Medicare and Medicaid. They will file insurance or re-file insurance claims and make follow up calls to insurance companies to facilitate collection of the account, requesting assistance from the insurance subscriber, when necessary. We work hand in hand with the insurance subscriber until the account is collected or denied by the insurance company for valid reasons.
: After insurance has paid and patient responsibility determined, efforts will be made to collect the balance due. Non-insurance (True Self Pay) accounts, included in the audit, will be collected in the same manner as they are when referred to our Self-Pay Early Out program
. We have trained representatives in the Self Pay audit program whose primary focus is to collect on these accounts.
Our Program is offered as a seamless extension of the Patient Financial Services (PFS) Department. This audit service can also be performed in conjunction with a "Self-Pay Early Out" start-up as a tool to assist in a short-term cleanup project. Our program has allowed many clients to reduce costs while increasing revenue.
Numerous user friendly audit reports, available on our web site, can be a valuable training resource for the PFS Department.
